Some Ghanaians in the United Kingdom have demonstrated against Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as he enjoys his medical leave in London.
Placards with inscriptions like "Bawuliar is a first class lair in Ghana" and "2.25 million Ken Ofori Atta fraud", were displayed by the angry protestors on Tuesday.
Some of the demonstrators expressed their worry on how the Akuffo Addo government deceived them that imported spare parts would be 'duty free' under his presidency.
"We told our family members to vote for the NPP. We spent monies to help in their campaigns but now we're suffering. Today if you send spare parts to Ghana, its not free."
"Nana Akuffo Addo made us understand that spare parts won't be charged at the port but its not happening that way. How can you use four hours to clear goods?, one of the told newsmen in Twi.
Meanwhile, Vice President Bawumia is expected to return to Ghana latest by Friday, February 2, 2018. The Minister of State in-charge- of National Security, Bryan Acheampong has revealed.
